Halverson Earns WIAC All-Sportsmanship Award

Jenna Halverson, a 2006 Barnum High School graduate, was the top UWS runner to cross the finish line at the WIAC conference cross country meet, which was hosted by UW-Whitewater on Saturday afternoon.


Halverson finished with a time of 25:3, placing her as the top UWS finisher in the race. After the race, Halverson was told that the conference had named her to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team, which is for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season.

Halverson will compete again on Saturday, November 14th at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet in Oshkosh, WI, which may be her final cross country race for UW-Superior. Listed are the members of the 2009 men’s and women’s teams.
