The Hermantown Hawks picked up a 1-0 shutout victory over the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks Saturday afternoon in Hermantown as the Hawks picked up their third consecutive win.

Josh Helmer scored at the first minute of the first half as the Hawks jumped out to the quick lead and that’s how the the match would end in a shutout victory for hermantown.

The Hawks with the win improve to 6-3-1 overall on the season, and the Hawks will look to make it four wins in a row on Monday when they will face the Ashland Oredockers at Hermantown High School Monday afternoon.

Josh Lenard finished with 8 saves in the shutout victory for Hermantown, The Hawks have posted five shutout wins his season. Halen Danielson also had 8 save for the Lumberjacks.

The Lumberjacks fall to 5-4-1 overall and they will take on the Thunderhawks of Grand Rapids Tuesday afternoon in Grand Rapids.
