Cross Country Runners Participate At Proctor Invite

A number of NSO area teams participated in the Proctor Lions Invitational cross country meet on Tuesday. Sarah Chasson of Cromwell/Floodwood won the girls race and Denfeld’s Matt Kero took top honors for the boys.

The Cloquet boys team had a strong outcome with a fourth place finish, which was the highest placing among NSO schools.
Esko was seventh, Proctor eighth, Cromwell/Floodwood ninth, Moose Lake-Willow River took tenth and Carlton was eleventh.

Proctor was fifth on the girls side with Cloquet sixth, Carlton seventh and Moose Lake-Willow River eighth.

Top area finishers for the girls included Chasson winning, while Marisa Shady of Esko was third, Carlton’s Lindsay Dahl-Holm was fourth and Erika Shady of Esko was fifth.

No NSO area boy was in the top 10.
