It was Floodwood’s homecoming game Friday night, as they were led by Noah Thompson and Daylen Ruzynski, as the two combined for four scores on the night in the 42-20 win.

Kicking things off for the Polar Bears was Thompson, as he had a 12-yard rush for six to take the early lead.  Thompson would again find the end zone, diving in from 2-yards out.  Floodwood would get the ball back, as Carlton had a tough time taking care of the ball in the first half with three fumbles.  Cam Goutermont then hauled in a 51-yard bomb from quarterback Tanner Heggedahl.

Right before halftime, the Bulldogs would answer, as Jackson Mickle threw a last second touchdown to Senior Ryan Adams from 17-yards out to bring the score to 28-6.

The Polar Bears would pick up right where they left off, as Alex Larson caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Heggedahl.  The next Carlton possession would see Isaiah Wallace have a strong 11-yard touchdown scamper.  Daylen Ruzynski would get his second score of the night, as he ran it in from 4 yards out.

The Bulldogs would get one last touchdown as Eric Soderstrom had a beautiful  27-yard touchdown catch from Mickle to bring the score to 20-42.

The Dogs(1-6) travel to Silver Bay as they look to add another win before playoffs begin.  The Polar Bears (3-3) will face off at Hill City as they try to build momentum.
