Southridge wins Third Straight

The Southridge Panthers picked up their third straight win to start this 2013 football season as the Panthers are looking to continue on and defend their section 7 9-man title.

The Panthers scored four straight touchdowns to open their match-up with Chisholm Friday as the Panthers rolled to a 54-14 victory in Chisholm.

Colton Peterson hauled in three touchdown passes from Kody Karppinen, as Karppinen added six more touchdown passes to his already impressive ten touchdown passes after the first two weeks of the season.

Karppinen connected with Bill Redding, Tyler Grages, and Drew Janke on touchdown passes and Karppinen also ran another touchdown in himself as the Panthers picked up the 40 point road win over the previously unbeaten Chisholm Bluestreaks.

The 3-0 Panthers will be home next week in Culver where they will host Ely who will enter 3-0 as well on the season. The Bluestreaks fall to 2-1 on the season and they will face Northwoods up in Cook next Friday night.
