Tuesday saw seven different NSO area teams playing in four games. The premier game of the night took place when Carlton made the short trip to Cloquet to take on the Lumberjacks. The Lumberjacks won by a 3-1 score, however all of the games were very tight with the largest margin of victory being three points.


Cloquet picked up the four game win by scores of 25-27, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-23 with both teams having their chances in each game. The Lumberjacks were led by the versatile Katie Schultz, who finished with 15 kills and 18 digs. Katie Konietzko was right behind with 14 kills and 13 digs. Keanna Karulak had 38 set assists, five ace serves and 21 digs. Cloquet libero Kierra Johnson was all over the court recording 27 acrobatic digs on the night.


Esko continued on its winning ways defeating an overmatched McGregor team by scores of 25-9, 25-12 and 25-12. Kayla Handevidt had 11 kills to go with Keely Deadrick’s 26 set assists in helping the Eskomos to their 15th win of the season.


In the final game, Barnum remained undefeated in Polar League play by getting a 3-1 win over Moose Lake-Willow River. The bombers won by scores of 25-17, 25-8, 22-25, and 25-23. Katrina Newman led the Bombers with 20 kills and 11 digs. Sheenagh Caroline had a great night recording 11 kills, 2 ace serves and 19 digs in the losing effort for the Rebels.
