The Cloquet volleyball team continues to show promise as a team that could be difficult to handle at playoff time. On Saturday, the youthful Jacks went 3-1 in a tournament in Virginia, proving they are a steadily improving team.

After dropping the opening game to the Hill City Hornets, the Jacks reeled off back-to-back wins over 25-16 and 15-11. In third round action, the Jacks defeated Nashwauk-Keewatin 25-17, 25-19 and they ended the tournament with a 25-16, 21-25, 15-11 win over Chisholm.

Keanna Karulak was impressive at the setter position with 75-set assists. Katie Schulz was magnificent in all around play with 21 kills, 22 digs and seven ace serves. Maddie Kiehn crushed 22 kills.
