Cloquet wins third in a row

The Cloquet-Carlton boy’s soccer team improved to 3-1 on the season as the Lumberjacks knocked off the Denfeld Hunters 3-1 at Rol Bromberg field in Cloquet Friday afternoon.

The win was a third in a row Lake Superior Conference victory for the Lumberjacks and it was also the third consecutive shut out Cloquet-Carlton has had this week alone.

The Hunters who had won their first game of the season over Cambridge have now lost three consecutive contests as they fall to 1-3 overall on the season and have dropped two straight conference match-ups.

The Lumberjacks will put their 3-1 record on the line Tuesday afternoon when they take their three game win streak to Duluth Marshall as they will face the Hilltoppers at 4 pm.

The Hunters are off until next Saturday when they will host the East Grand Forks Green Wave at Public Schools Stadium in a non-conference match-up.
