Duluth Marshall plays their home football games in the late afternoon due to lack of lights on the field. On Friday the Esko Eskomos knocked off the Hilltoppers and provided a few highlights of their own in the 21-0.

Most of the offensive highlights for the Eskomos were provided by Richard Jubie and Andrew Motzko who had rushing touchdowns and by the catch and run abilities of Cody Townsend.

Jubie scored on a dazzling 35 yard touchdown dash in the first quarter and after a Jake Stainbrook extra point kick the Eskomos were up 7-0.

The Eskomos scored twice in the second quarter the first on a touchdown pass to Townsend and the second on the 9 yard run by Motzko. Stainbrook booted the extra point on both touchdowns as the Eskomos took a 21-0 halftime lead, a score that would never change.

With the win the Eskomos are now 2-2 on the season. They will look to get over the .500 mark on Friday when they travel to Coleraine. Esko will take on a new look Raiders team, formed this year when Nashwauk-Keewatin partnered with Greenway. The new Greenway/N-K team is also 2-2 on the season.
