Cody Anderson had a day he won’t soon forget! On Friday, the senior quarterback tossed five touchdown passes to help lead the AlBrook Falcons to a 66-20 win over Mesabi Academy in high school football.

The amazing part of Anderson’s performance was that he hit all five touchdown passes in the first quarter! Anderson found Kolten Karppinen for touchdowns of 13 and 30 yards, Tony Williams for a 38-yard strike, Lance Luomala on a 26-yard pass and finally Karppinen again on a 19-yard pass.

On the night, Anderson was 12-for-14 with 191 yards passing and five touchdown passes.

Ironically, the Falcons Bryce Karppinen found Trevor Bong for a 24-yard touchdown strike to make six passes for scores in the first quarter and a half.

Bryce Karppinen also added a 40-yard touchdown run and Damondtaye Gaines galloped in from the 36-yard line in the second half.

The win gives the Falcons a 1-2 record. They will try to get back to the .500 mark when they travel to Cherry on Friday.
