The Carlton Bulldogs volleyball team traveled to Two Harbors on Tuesday on a mission to down the Agates and that’s exactly what they did. This win set the Bulldogs’ mindset for a huge match against Polar League rival Esko on Thursday night in Carlton.

The Bulldogs, looking to stay on top of the Polar League alongside Barnum, Cook County, and Esko, swept Two Harbors in three straight games. The first game was a close fought battle, with the Bulldogs pulling away for a two point 25-23 victory. The second game was 25-14 and Carlton wrapped it up in the third game with a 25-16 win.

Tayler Carpenter and Sarah Aili would lead the Bulldogs with eight kills and six kills respectively in the Carlton win Tuesday night. Both Carpenter and Aili are among the leaders for the Bulldogs, along with fellow seniors Katrina Anderson, Katie Bloom, and Brittany Zime.

With Tuesday night win, the Bulldogs have only lost one game out of the ten they have played this season. A big early season match-up on Thursday will have Esko, 5-1, coming to Carlton in what should be an outstanding game. The Carlton gym should be full come Thursday night.
