After being surprised on Saturday by the Duluth Central Trojans, the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys soccer team rebounded to pound Two Harbors 4-1 on Tuesday night.

The Jacks pumped in two goals in each half and outshot the Agates 12-5 on their way to the win.

Nick Anderson gave the Jacks the lead just two minutes into the game on an assist by Kallen Grimm. However, the Agates responded just three minutes later on a goal by Alex Horoshak in the fifth minute. The Lumberjacks finally took the lead for good on a Jake Stainbrook goal in the 31st minute with an assist to Dan Toivonen.

CEC added goals by Anderson from Stainbrook in the 43rd minute and Josiah Barrett in the 76th minute to take the 4-1 lead.

Jacks netminder, Jared Weeks, recorded 4 saves, while Agates goalie Andy Kregseth recorded 8 saves on 12 shots.
