After struggling opening day last week the AlBrook Falcons hoped to reverse that trend on Friday night against Mountain Iron-Buhl. Instead, the Falcons saw more of the same in a tough 36-0 loss at the hands of the Rangers.

MI-B was consistent throughout the game by scoring points in every quarter and keeping AlBrook off the scoreboard all together.

The lone score of the first quarter came when Travis Pulford hauled in a pass from Ryan Buria and took it 26 yards to the end zone for a touchdown. Buria added the two-point conversion run for an 8-0 lead.

Rick Stevens slashed his way 28 yards to the end zone for the only score of the second quarter, but the Falcons were able to bat down the conversion pass and the score stood 14-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter it was Stevens again pounding his way into the end zone from the five-yard line and then Buria found Blake Johnson for the conversion pass as the Rangers built the lead to 22-0.

Fourth quarter action saw Buria score from the one-yard line on a quarterback keeper and Cody Jones slipped in from the two-yard line for the other score of the quarter for MI-B. Tyler Goodrie tacked on the extra point kick on both scores as the game ended in favor of MI-B 36-0.

The Rangers improved to 2-0 overall, while the Falcons drop to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the St. Louis County South Conference.
