The Barnum Bombers continue to thrive on the volleyball court, downing the Cromwell Cardinals by a score of 3-0 Thursday night. The Bombers used outstanding sets and some impressive kills as they improved to 4-0 on the season.

Katrina Newman set the standards for the Bombers with ten kills. Add in four service aces and nine digs and it was apparent Barnum could not be stopped.

“We played really well tonight,” head coach Corina Newman told Northland Sports Online. “We capitalized on the chances we were given..The girls are really learning from one another and are playing as a team.”

Jenna Zymslony added six kills for the Bombers, Sammi Parker and Candice Paulson each had two kills in the victory. Jessica Newman led the Bombers with 19 set assists. She would also add two service aces, as did Jaimee Wickstrom and Zymslony.

Barnum downed the Cardinals in three straight games, winning 25-12, 25-16, and 25-14. With Cromwell only holding the lead twice in three game, the Bombers were never really tested.

No games stats were available for Cromwell. Barnum is in action again next Tuesday as they host Silver Bay at 6:30. Cromwell will return to the court on Saturday when they travel to Ogilvie for a 9:00 am matchup.
