Defensive Effort Nets Eskomos 75-26 Win

A swarming Esko defense created havoc for the Carlton Bulldogs girls basketball team on Monday night when the Eskomos came away with a 75-26 win in Carlton.

The Eskomos created 23 turnovers in the first half and the Bulldogs had seven turnovers, and trailed 11-0, before they were able to get their first shot in the ball game. Brooke Camps had nine points for Carlton, all coming in the first half on 3-pointers; but the Bulldogs still trailed 44-14 at the break.

Savannah Trapp scored 19 points, 15 of which came in the first half, to lead the Esko offense. Claudia Turner had 12 points and it was 11 points for Brooke Schramm who were both in double-digit scoring for the Eskomos.


Also scoring for Esko were; Marissa Shady with nine points, Bailey Salo, Molly Trapp, Ashley Bergerson and Bailey Mudek who all had five points, Kallyn Knutson and Erika Shady who both scored four points and Kailee Kiminski who finished with a point.

Tori Zime added eight points for Carlton, Ashley Anderson added four points, Hannah Benson recorded two points, while Karlyn Voge, Jessica Stanslaski and Taylor Klassen all finished with a single point.


The win is the seventh straight for the Eskomos, who are now 7-1 on the season. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 1-4 on the early season.
