If the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder football team is going to start winning football games this season they will need to find a way to avoid interceptions and stay more consistent on the offensive side of the ball. On Saturday afternoon, the Thunder dropped a 36-21 decision to Minnesota State-Fergus Falls on the road after giving up two interceptions for touchdowns.

Unfortunately for the Thunder, the two touchdowns on interception returns were also paired with another interception inside the 10-yard line that resulted in a field goal for Fergus Falls. Those 3 errors, along with a runback for a touchdown of a second half kickoff, were just too much for the Thunder to overcome in picking up their second straight road loss.

FDLTCC had managed to cut into a 17-point halftime lead to 23-15, but eventually fell behind 30-15 after the kickoff return for touchdown.

About the only bright spot for the Thunder was the rushing game which featured March Jones rushing for 160 yards on 24 carries as well as two touchdowns.

The Thunder will play at home next Saturday at 2pm as they open their home schedule against Minnesota West Community College.
