A total of four St. Scholastica women’s soccer players earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-North Region honors with Andrea Beatt (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) and Kelsey Kehtel (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) named to the first team; it was announced on Wednesday.

Freshman goalkeeper Kelsey Reeves (Eagle River, Alaska/Eagle River HS ) and junior defender Logan Williamson (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) were named to the second team. In 2011, Kehtel and Megan Flesvig (Duluth, Minn./Proctor HS) became the first CSS women’s soccer players to earn NCAA All-Region recognition when they were named to the second team.

Beatt, a senior midfielder, was an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) First team selection for the second straight season. She finished second on the team and in the conference with 15 goals. Her 13 goals in league play ranked her third and she was also third in the conference with 29 points. Beatt recorded 89 career points, which ranks her 10th in program history. Last week, Beatt became the first CSS women’s soccer player to earn Capital One Academic All-America honors as she was named to the third team.

Kehtel, a sophomore forward, was named the UMAC Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. The Duluth East grad became the first player in program history to register back-to-back 20-goal seasons. Kehtel finished with 20 goals and eight assists for 48 points. In conference games only, Kehtel scored a league-high 18 goals and recorded a conference-best 44 points. After not registering a single point in her first four games of the season, Kehtel recorded three hat tricks, including two, four-goal games.

Reeves was a first team All-UMAC selection in her first season in goal. The Eagle River, Alaska native led the conference with a 0.58 goals-against-average, .876 save percentage and nine shutouts this season. Reeves allowed just four goals in conference play.

Williamson also earned first team All-UMAC laurels this year. Williamson did it both defensively and offensively this season for the Saints. As the corner kick specialist, she registered 12 assists, the second-most of the team. She also scored two goals in the first two games of the season vs. Macalester College and Concordia College-Moorhead.

The Saints are coming off their ninth straight UMAC Regular Season championship and their second consecutive UMAC Tournament title in 2012. CSS also made its fifth NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in the last six years.
