The Yellowjackets capped off the season in style as they cruised past Mount Mary College 5-1 on a windy day in Milwaukee.

Samantha Nelson (Proctor, Minn./Proctor ) set the tempo for the Yellowjackets in the 12th minute when she took possession of the ball off a corner kick. She took a nice chip shot from the top of the box that found its way to the back of the net to make the score 1-0.

The Yellowjackets continued to dominate in the 38th minute when Caroline Wetherall (Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins ) fed McKenzie Krohn (Green Bay, Wis./Luxemburg-Casco) from the corner to the middle of the box. Krohn would take a onetime shot that fooled Mount Mary goalkeeper Kirby McMahon to extend the Yellowjacket lead to 2-0.

Sarah Johnson (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet) notched a goal in her final game in the 45th minute to give the Yellowjackets a 3-0 going into halftime. Milwaukee native Jada Wong was credited with the assist on the play.

Mount Mary answered three minutes into the second half when Emily Ristow capitalized on a breakaway to make the score 3-1. Shelby Coombs (Anaheim, Calif./Magnolia ) responded in the 60th minute on a 20 yard shot that found its way to the back of the net to make the score 4-1.

Another goal was added by Chelsea Cossin (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown) when she put home a rebound off the goalkeeper in the 79th minute to make the score 5-1. The Yellowjackets outshot Mount Mary 33-3 in the contest.

Kalea Hatlewick (Fergus Falls, Minn./Fergus Falls) made a save for the Yellowjackets while McMahon registered 16 saves for Mount Mary.

The Yellowjackets wrap up the 2012 season with a (7-13, 0-8 WIAC) record.
