The Proctor Rails continued on their winning ways Friday night as the Rails defeated Greenway-Nashwauk-Keewatin by a score of 36-14 in Coleraine. The victory Friday night made it five consecutive wins for the Rails as they continue to hold on to the top seed in Section 7AAA.

The Rails got on the scoreboard first when Jack Nikko scored on a 6 yard touchdown run and it was 7-0 at the 8:36 mark of the first quarter. There was no more scoring in the first quarter, but the Titans scored the next touchdown of the game at the 11:41 mark when Jayden Gangle scored on a 1 yard touchdown run. They went for a two-point conversion and with Gangle to Aaron Trunt connection the Titans led 8-6.

Proctor however answered right back when Alex Greene scored on a 4 yard touchdown run and a Nikko extra point made it a 14-8 lead for Proctor. The Rails scored again just 40 seconds later when Frank Napoli intercepted a Gangle pass and returned it 62 yards for a Rails touchdown. Brody Nordquist added the two point conversion with a run into the end zone and the Rails led 22-8 at halftime.

The Rails scored the only points of the third quarter as Nordquist connected with Shane Gould on a 50 yard touchdown pass and the Rails led 29-8 after the extra point. Green cut into the Rails lead early in the fourth quarter when Gangle connected with Josh Engle on a 6 yard touchdown pass; the extra point was no good and the Rails led 29-14.

Proctor added one more touchdown as Brody Nordquist ran one in from 8 yards out with one minute to play and the Rails go on to the 22 point victory. The win moves Proctor to 6-1 overall on the season and they are 2-0 in section play and 4-1 in conference action.

The Rails will close out their season on Wednesday night when the Rails will host the Virginia Blue Devils at Terry Egerdahl Field. The Titans fall to 3-4 overall and they are in action on Wednesday night then they travel up to International Falls to face the Broncos.
