With only one senior starter, and one junior starter, the Carlton Bulldog volleyball team is about as young as they get, however don’t think for a moment that they are not capable of winning an awful lot of games this season. Such was the case on Tuesday night when the Bulldogs improved to 18-6 by taking a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22 and 25-15) win over Cromwell.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Clarissa Nelson who had an impressive night by pounding out a triple-double with 12 kills, 12 set assists and 13 digs.

Nelson was not the only Bulldog to rack up an impressive night as Macy Belich added eight kills and two ace serves and 10 digs. Hannah Benson finished with 14 set assists and two ace serves, while Brianna Walton recorded 11 set assists and two ace serves.

Ann Collman led the Cards with six kills and two digs. Brittany Johnson also had a strong game with four kills, three ace serves and five digs.

The Bulldogs will be on the road for their next game when they travel to Wrenshall to take on the Wrens on Thursday. Cromwell will host Cook County, also on Thursday.
