Hermantown Extends Season Record to 17-2 With Home Sweep

Emily Neumann racked up 29-set assists in leading her Hermantown Hawks volleyball team to a 3-0 win over the Proctor Rails on Thursday night. With Neumann running the offense the Hawks won handily 25-11, 25-14 and 25-15.

The Hawks received contributions from a number of players in the win including; Nicole Kienzi with nine kills, Katie Thun who had six kills and Jessica Wasbotten and Kaitlyn Paczynski with eight and seven digs respectively.


The win extends the dominant season record for the Hawks to 17-2. Their only loss in the past 14 games was a short format tournament game to the Academy of Holy Angels. Hermantown will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Superior in a Lake Superior Conference match-up.

Proctor got five digs each from Gina Palmi and Holly Stanaway and nine set assists from Miranda Riddle.
