The Barnum Bombers continue to show significant signs of being one of the favorites in Section 7A as the Bomber revenged two defeats a year ago to the Lions as the Bombers defeated the Lions by a score of 40-8.

Barnum built up a huge first half lead and never looked back as the Bombers evened their record at 2-2 overall on the season. On a cold wet Friday night the Bombers compiled 400 yards of offense, including 280 yards rushing for Barnum.

Seth Vogt got things started in the first quarter as he scored on a 23 yard touchdown pass from Zach Carlson. Colton Selix added the two point conversion and Barnum led 8-0. Barnum made it 16-0 in the first quarter when Selix scored his first touchdown of the game on a 21 yard pass from Carlson. Daniel Warpula added the two point conversion.

Selix made it 22-0 in the second quarter when he scampered in from 65 yards to give Barnum a 22-0 lead. Vogt scored his second touchdown of the game on a 76 yard touchdown pass from Carlson and Barnum led at that point 28-0.

Brandon Newman scored his first touchdown of the game moments later on an 11 yard touchdown run and the score was 34-0 with Barnum leading comfortably. Barnum added one more touchdown before halftime as the Bombers Zach Peterson intercepted an Ogilvie pass and ran it in for a touchdown which made it 40-0 at halftime.

Selix led the Bombers with 103 yards rushing, Warpula added 63 yards and it was Zach Peterson chipping in with 54 yards on the ground. Carlson finished 3-7 passing for 120 yards and three touchdowns.

Barnum will look to make yet another statement on Friday when they will face Braham in a conference match-up. The Lions fall to 0-4 on the season and hope to pick up their first win of the season as they will take on Mesabi East in Aurora.
