Section 7AA boys hockey brackets have been announced with the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks receiving the fifth seed. The Lumberjacks will begin the 2012 playoffs by traveling to number four seed Elk River on Tuesday February 21.

As expected the Duluth East Greyhounds received the #1 seed and will play the winner of Saturday’s play-in game between #8 Cambridge-Isanti and #9 seed St. Francis.

Andover, who defeated CEC in overtime of the championship game of the Heritage Holiday Tournament, received the #2 seed and will host #7 St. Michael-Albertville. Grand Rapids with the #3 seed also begin the playoffs with a home game against #6 Forest Lake.

All first round home games are at 7:00pm and hosted by the high seed. Winners will advance to the semi-finals on February 25 at Amsoil Arena. The final two teams advance to the Section 7AA championship game on March 1, also at Amsoil Arena.
