Section 7AA Girls Hockey Pairings Announced

As hard as it is to believe, the winter sports playoff season is rapidly approaching. Playoff pairings for 7AA girls hockey were released tonight with the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks getting the third overall seed. The Jacks will host Forest Lake on February 9 at 7:00pm.

As expected, Elk River was awarded the #1 overall seed and Grand Rapids-Greenway seeded #2. Also getting a home playoff game by virtue of the #4 seed were the Duluth Northern Stars.

#1 Elk River will get a first round bye while #2 seed GR-G will host #7 seed St. Francis. As mentioned the #3 seeded Lumberjacks will host #6 seed Forest Lake. #4 seed Duluth will host #5 seed Cambridge-Isanti.

All first round games will be at the high seed on February 9 at 7:00 PM. Winners will advance to the semi-final round on February 11 at the high seed. The Section 7AA finals will be held on February 16 at Grand Rapids.
