Wood Leads Panthers Over Cromwell

Dan Wood continued his season-long torrid scoring streak by knocking down 23 points and leading the South Ridge Panthers to a tight 52-48 win over Cromwell on Tuesday night.

Both teams carried a hot hand from the 3-point line with Cromwell tossing in five long-range shots and the Panthers making seven 3-pointers.

Richard Olson and Jake Ramberg both scored 12 points to lead Cromwell, while Austin Johnson and Josh Oliver both scored nine points and Jared Hutar scored six points.

The Panthers had a solid team effort with balanced scoring after Woods effort with eight points from Aaron Smith and seven each from Kody Karppinen, Drew Janke and Colton Peterson.

South Ridge led 30-26 at the half and held on for the victory at home.
