Katie Myhre outscored the entire Wrenshall Wrens on Thursday night when the senior hit for 40 points leading her Barnum Bombers to an 86-25 victory in girls basketball in Wrenshall.

Myhre, a shooting guard with a deadly 3-point shot for most of her career, changed her style to more of a floor leader and passer this season to help the team and compliment the Bombers strong inside game. Then when the Bombers lost their inside post player for the season, Myhre once again re-adjusted to help the team by taking on the role of scorer. Against Wrenshall she showed that 3-point form, hitting a total of eight times from beyond the arc.

At halftime the Bombers already led the game 48-16 and allowed the Wrens just nine points in the second half en-route to the win.

Also scoring for the Bombers were; Claudia Turner with 12 points, Lissa Warpula added 11, it was Claire Rodgers with nine points, Lauren Hultgren and Cheyanne Johnson both had four points and Caitlan Rodgers finished with two points.

Leading the Wrens was Maria Burcar who had 16 points, while Delaney Kittle added four points, and it was two each for Shawna Laveau and Katie Kelly, while Brittany O’Brien finished with a point.

The win keeps the Bombers undefeated in the Polar League at 9-0 and 14-1 overall.
