Esko Boys Win Big Over Visiting Mora

The Esko boys basketball team used a long-range bombing attack to defeat the Mora Mustangs 79-39 on Tuesday night. Esko made 14 3-point shots and tossed up 29 total long rangers in the game while streaking to the easy win.

Jackson Lindquist hit for 23 points including a 4-for-8 night from behind the 3-point line and Kory Deadrick finished with 20 points as the Eskomos built a huge 53-19 halftime lead.

Esko also out rebounded the Mustangs 31-20 and they also scored 17 points off turnovers compared to just nine for the Mustangs.

Marc Peterson scored 12 points for Esko, while Jared Harms added nine points, Casey Staniger finished with eight points, Bobby Wright scored three points, and it was two points each for Ben Hanson and Reed Bakken.

Greg Mork was the only Mustang player to finish in double-digit scoring with 11 points.


With the win Esko is now 12-2 on the season and will take on Two Harbors Friday night in Esko.
