Strong Second Half Leads Cloquet Boys Over Proctor

It took a little while to get the offense jump-started, but eventually the Cloquet boys basketball team had enough push to nab a 68-51 win over the Proctor Rails.

Adam Laine was big again for Cloquet; the sophomore provided a 25 point performance in a game the Jacks led just 25-21 at halftime.

Zach Peterson also had a big game for Cloquet with 15 points, Trent Moe finished with eight points, it was six each for Dillon Johnson and Nate Weets, both Max Brenner and Erik Swanson scored three points and Gavin Takkunen finished with a pair of points.

The Rails were led by Jacob White with 16 points and Kaz Anderson who scored 13 points. Charles Burns added seven, it was Tyler Schubert scoring five, Anders Voss finished with six, and both Jordan Carey and Brett Pinney scored a pair of points.

After leading by only four points at the break the Jacks outscored the Rails 43-30 in the second half to pull away to the win.
