Hansen Shines with Overtime Winner

It was Noah Hansen who broke a 1-1 tie just under three minutes into overtime to give the CEC Lumberjacks a 2-1 victory over Grand Rapids, and their third consecutive trip to the Boys state Soccer tournament.

The goal by Hansen moved the Lumberjacks to a overall record of 15-2 on the season and they have now won 14 consecutive matches.

Joe Bailey scored the first goal of the match just over seven minutes in o the 1st half to give CEC the earlier 1-0 lead. The Thunderhawks Dean Kortekas tied the match for Grand Rapids a litte over five minutes later.

CEC will play next Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday next week at the boys state soccer tournament.
