Cloquet-Carlton Girls Capture Fifth Straight Section Title

The Cloquet Carlton Girls Soccer Team made it five straight section Titles Tuesday night at the new MCCU Sports Complex in Cloquet as the Lumberjacks defeated North Branch by a score of 3-0.

Lauren Hughes, Makayla Stirewalt, and Mackenzie Lynch all scored goals in the shutout victory for the Lumberjacks.

Rylee Senich made five saves on the night for Cloquet/Carlton in the win.

For the Lumberjacks it was their twelfth shutout of the season, and third strain in the playoffs.

Cloquet/Carlton will find out their opponent in the state quarterfinals this Saturday after the seeding meetings.
