Bombers Beat Aitkin 82-62, Now 10-2 On The Season

With four players in double figure scoring the Barnum Bombers had way too much depth for the Aitkin Gobblers in boys basketball on Thursday night as the Bombers cruised to an 82-62 victory.

Jake Naslund scored 22 points and Rodney Mullen Jr. added 20 points, including six 3-pointers, in leading the Bombers to the win. Other players in double digits were; Brandon Newman, who had four 3-pointers, and Danny Warpula who finished with 10 points for Barnum.

The Bombers led the game 45-28 at halftime and were never threatened in the game by the Gobblers who got a 16 point effort from Danny Daily and a 14 point night from Alex Anderson as well as 11 points from Nathan Elmstrom.

Both Jake Blumer and Bobby Minkkinen added six points for the Bombers; it was Jaxson Turner finishing with four points.

The game was a long-distance shooting gallery with Barnum hitting 13 3-pointers for the game and the Gobblers nailing 10 long-range bombs, including four from Daily.


The Bombers are putting together a great season and now are 10-2 for the 2011-2012 campaign. They will be back at it quickly when they Travel to Floodwood on Friday night to take on the Polar Bears.
