Hermantown Boys Get 68-57 Road Win Over Cloquet

Hermantown maintained a four-point lead at halftime and then pulled away to a 68-57 win over Cloquet in boys basketball on Thursday night.

Corey Anderson was the big scorer for the Hawks with 29 points, while Spencer Johnson added 11 for Hermantown. Sophomore Adam Laine led the Jacks with 21 points and Trent Moe finished with 12 points for Cloquet.


Adding to the festivities was youth basketball night, where youth players
packed the gym and received participation medals at halftime.

The Hawk were up 30-26 at the intermission and at times were able to stretch the lead 16 points with 5:22 left in regulation and eventually ended the night with an 11-point win on the road in Cloquet.

Kevin Folman added nine for Hermantown and it was six for Kole Zuidmulder, five points for Alex Comstock and four each for Cade Zacharias and Zach Goplin.

The Lumberjacks also got nine points from Dillon Johnson, seven from Max Brenner, Erik Swanson had six points and Zach Peterson recorded two points.


Cloquet will host Mesabi East on Friday night as part of Homecoming ceremonies.
