Barnum Senior Katie Myhre made sure that the Bomber’s girls basketball team was not going to suffer back-to-back losses on Tuesday night. After falling for the second time this season to Mountain Iron-Buhl on Saturday, Myhre hit nine 3-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points and the Bombers came away with a 78-45 win on the road at Duluth Denfeld.

Amazingly the Bombers (16) 3-pointers in the game! Not only did Myhre put down nine long range bombs, but every Bomber that scored hit at least one from long range. Claire Rogers finished with four, while Claudia Turner, Alyssa Warpula and Cheyanne Johnson all had one 3-pointer.

The Bombers led it 43-26 at halftime and then cruised through the second half to the tune of 35-19.

Rogers finished with 25 points, Turner added 17, both Johnson and Warpula added three points for the Bombers in their win.

Becca Hendrickson was the lone Hunter in double-digits with 10 points, while both Leah Hamm and Ciarra Taipale both scored eight points for Denfeld.

Barnum also was impressive at the free throw line where they made 16-of-24 shots, while Denfeld managed just 3-of-17 free throws.
