Trapp’s 16 Points Leads Esko Past Floodwood

A big first half by the Esko girls basketball team helped the Eskomos take a 60-31 win on the road at Floodwood last night. Esko held a 35-18 halftime edge and rolled to the victory.

The Polar Bears had trouble containing Eskomo center, Savannah Trap. Trapp had a big game with 16 points and 10 rebounds, but also was a force on defense with five blocked shots.

While Trapp was play well for Esko it was Molli Durovec dumping in 18 points to be the games leading scorer and the leading scorer for the Polar Bears.

Esko also got double figure scoring from Marisa Shady who had 13 points and 10 points from Steph Bandelin. Bandelin also finished with eight rebounds. Also scoring for Esko were; Steph Miller and Brooke Schramm with six points each, it was Megan Reuer scoring four points, Kallyn Knutson finished with three points and Ashley Bergerson added a pair of points.


Also scoring for the Polar Bears was Erika Scharberg with seven points, while Megan Aho, Stacey Larva and Sydney Lough all had two points.

Esko is now 10-1 on the season, with their only loss coming to defending state champion Braham by two points a couple of weeks ago.
