Esko 7th Graders Finish First In Spirit of the North Tourney

Congratulations to the Esko 7th Grade Girl’s Travel Team on their recent first place finish in the 20th Annual Spirit of the North Youth Basketball tournament hosted by DYBA (Duluth Youth Basketball Association) on November 19th and 20th. The Esko girl’s took first place in the Division One bracket, defeating Cottage Grove, Stillwater, Waconia, and Roseville.

The team also finished 7th out of a pool of 120+ teams at the Great Northwest Championships held in Chippewa Falls, WI on November 5th and November 6th. Esko had wins over Northwestern, Black River Falls, Wittenberg-Birnamwood, Durand and Eau Claire with close losses to Winona and the eventual champion, Onalaska.
