Section 7A Sub-Sections Complete Finals To Be Held Friday

The Section 7A Sub-Section meet was held at UMD on Wednesday, May 20. Several local athletes advanced to the section finals, which will als be held at UMD on Friday May 29.

Leading the way was Leah Nordvall of Barnum, posting the top time in the 100m and 200m dash as well as qualifying second in the long jump. Natasha Dragicevich of ML-WR qualified in the top spot of both the 100m and 300m hurdles.

The Esko girls showcased their amazing team depth by sweeping all four of the girls relays with impressive times over the number two finishers.
They are poised to advance to State in all four events.

On the boys side, Jackson Lindquist of Esko has the number one time heading into the 3200m run while teammate Trey Brademan finished first in the 110m hurdles. Barnum’s Jonah Parrott

finished second
in the100m dash and is poised to make a run to State.

Not to be outdone by the girls, the Esko boys finished either first or second in all four of the relays, setting themselves up to challenge for a State Tournament bid also.
