MLWR Back To The State Tournament

The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels are returning to the State Tournament for the 12th time in the last 13 seasons after topping Royalton 22-6.

The Rebels took an 8-0 lead into the half after a one yard plunge from Anakin Oswald. Both teams would hold each other in check until the fourth quarter when Royalton’s Josh Smieja got into the end zone to make it an 8-6 score.

The Rebels then took over with a two yard touchdown from Trent Juhl and a 62 yard touchdown from Bo Moffett to secure the 22-6 win.

The Rebels, who are 8-2 on the year, will face off with the Barnesville Trojans (9-2) on November 9th in Brainerd. Kickoff will be at 7:00 PM.
