The Cromwell-Wright Cardinals made it a three-peat on Friday, topping the South Ridge Panthers 26-8 to advance to the 9-man State tournament.

The Cardinals took a 12-0 lead into the half off a 51 yard run from Kannon Korpela and a 58 yard interception return from Cameron Cahoon.

Out of the half, the Cardinals continued their dominance with another defensive touchdown, this time a 45 yard fumble return by Korpela to push the lead to 20-0.

The Panthers finally got on the board with a one yard plunge from Matt Clark to cut the Cardinals lead down to 20-8. The Cardinals would respond, however, with a two yard touchdown run by Korpela to make it a 26-8 final.

The Cardinals are 11-0 with the win and will face off with NCE/U-H (10-0) on November 9th with kickoff at 7:00pm at Bemidji State University.
