Santkuyl Brothers Power Bulldogs

Matt and Jacob Santkuyl each scored four touchdowns for the Bulldogs on Friday night, en route to a 60-14 victory over the Wrenshall Wrens. Jacob Santkuyl also added two interceptions in the win.

The Bulldogs lead 18-0 at the half, all coming from Matt Santkuyl who ran a 66 yard touchdown, a 5 yard touchdown, and capped the half off with a 25 yard touchdown reception.

The Bulldogs opened the second half up with a 66 yard touchdown pass from Ryan Gray to Jacob Santkuyl, to push the Bulldogs lead to 25-0. The defense then pushed it to 32-0 after Ben Soderstrom returned an interception 40 yards.

The Bulldogs continued to tear about the Wrens defense as Jacob Santkuyl caught a 50 yard touchdown pass and a 30 yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, each from Ryan Gray and Matt Santkuyl ran in his third touchdown run from two yards out.

Jacob capped the game off with a 77 yard kickoff return to make it a 60-14 final.

Gray threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Jacob Santkuyl was on the receiving end of 153 of those yards and three touchdowns. Matt Santkuyl rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns.

The Bulldogs are 1-0 on the season, after their season opener got postponed. They will be back in action on September 14th when they travel to play Isle (0-2). The Wrens fall to 0-2 and will look for their first win on September 14th when they host Onamia (0-2).
