Wrenshall’s Kelley Scores 47, Hits 1000 Point Mark

Wrenshall’s Tyler Kelley scored 47 points on Monday night, propelling the Wrens to a 97-27 victory over the Cherry Tigers. En route to the 47 point performance, Kelley also notched his 1000th career point.

Wrenshall held a 59-17 lead at the half and continued their dominance in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 38-10, to secure the victory.

In addition to Kelley’s outburst,  Randy Wimmer had 11 points, Grant Hall added 8 points, Nick Mattson and Jared Kelley each scored 7 points, Kyle Despot and Wyatt Homes each added 4 points, Eli Krisak chipped in 3 points, and Kaden Olsen, Chase Duncan, and Dan Merrill rounded it out with 2 points a piece.

In the loss for the Tigers, Izaic Martin had 6 points, Sam Serna and Christan Warmuth had 5 points, Nick Peterson scored 4 points, and Nick Serna and Mason Perkovich topped it off with 2 points each.

The Wrens are now 19-1 on the season. They’ll be back in action on February 16th when they travel to play the Silver Bay Mariners (14-9). The Cherry Tigers drop to 1-20 on the season and will look to end their losing streak on February 16th when they play the Northeast Range Nighthawks (1-14).
