Too much depth, too much size, too much speed, too much of everything! That is exactly the situation the Pine City Dragons found themselves in last night when they faced a startling good Esko Eskomo girls basketball team as the Eskomos handed the Dragons a 73-36 defeat.

Star center, Savannah Trapp, dumped in 25 points to lead the Eskomos to the victory. Joining Trapp in double digits were Marisa Shady with 11 and Megan Reuer with 10 points. Also scoring were; Brooke Schramm with nine points, Bailey Mudek delivered eight, Ashley Bergerson, Steph Miller and Steph Bandelin all had three and Kailee Klatt finished with a pair of points.

The Eskomos darted out to a 34-20 lead and then outscored the Dragons 39-16 in the second half.

Gretchen Linzmeier led the Dragons in scoring by scoring 23 of their 36 points. No other Dragon came close to double figures in scoring and only four Pine City players scored in the game.

The win puts the Eskomos record at 1-0 on the season while Pine City is now 0-1.
