Rails Retain Hammer In Shutout

The Proctor Rails and Hermantown Hawks battled for the Hammer on Friday night. The Rails would retain the Hammer with a 19-0 shutout of the Hawks.

The Rails led 7-0 at the half, scoring on a one yard plunge from John Pioro. Coming out of the half, Jerid Parrott scored on a 18 yard run, putting the Rails up 13-0. Parrott would seal the victory for the Rails in the fourth quarter on a five yard run, making it a 19-0 final.

The Rails move to 5-2 on the year and will travel to play North Branch in their season finale. The Hawks drop to 2-5 on the year and will host the Cloquet Lumberjacks on Wednesday, October 18th.
