The Clydesdales are proud to announce that, Duluth native and former Clyde Andrew Doig will be rejoining the team, starting with this weekend’s series. Doig has played the entirety of this season with the Minot of the North American Hockey League.

In 15 games with the Minotaurs, Doig notched a goal and six assists, with half of those helpers coming on the power play unit. Playing the entire season here in Duluth, Doig played nearly every game in 2010/11, registering nine power play assists and a total of 15points in 54 games.

The smooth passing D-man has also added bulk since last season, now listed at 6’0 and 190 pounds. He’ll easily slide into the Duluth defensive pairings, alongside five blueline teammates from last year. Up front, Jack Emmer will be another hard right-handed shot for Coach Locker’s forward ranks.

The 6’0”, 190-pounder brings more valuable Canadian junior experience to the Clydes, having played parts of the last two seasons with the Neepawa Natives of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Prior to that, Emmer split time between the Edina Lakers and his hometown Delano High Tigers, where he racked up 36 points in 25 games to go along with an impressive +30 rating his senior season.

Emmer makes the fourth former Laker to don the red and white for Duluth; goaltender Jason Dzurik, defenseman Chris Palm, and forward Spencer Franks all played for Edina previously.
