Faucett Nets hat Trick as Proctor/Hermantown Win In Overtime

Reilly Fawcett notched the hat trick and the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage won a tight 3-2 overtime decision over Forest Lake on Thursday night.

The Rangers took a 1-0 lead at 15:12 of the first period when Rachel Harshorn pumped in a goal with Amy Enrooth and Britani Kelke assisting. Forest Lake held a 1-0 edge after the first period.

Fawcett’s first goal came at the 6::00 minute mark of the second period when she hammered home a goal on the power play with an assist going to Sophie McGovern. However, Katie Boleen answered at 13:35 of the period to give the Rangers the lead back at 2-1 after two periods.

The Mirage tied things at 5:05 of the third period when Fawcett picked up her second power play goal of the game with the assist going to Chelsea Rackliff and that’s how things ended in regulation.

Overtime saw Fawcett turn it on again, this time with 10:35 gone as Jillayne Gilbert added the game-winning assist.
