Section 7AAA Girls Basketball Championship Preview

The Hermantown Hawks will look to advance to the State Tournament for the first time since the 2005-06 season.

The Hawks, who are 24-3 on the season and the 2nd seed, will face off with the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks, who are 22-5 on the year and the 1st seed.

The Hawks advanced to the Section Finals by defeating North Branch, 52-36 and Hibbing, 43-35. The Thunderhawks advanced after receiving a first round bye and then beating the Cloquet Lumberjacks, 68-35.

The Hawks and Thunderhawks will square off for the Section 7AAA championship on March 9th at Duluth Denfeld. The game will tip off at 7pm.
