Cromwell showed once again why they are the top seed as they dismantled the Carlton Bulldogs 55-0.

Cardinal quarterback Zion Smith threw four touchdown passes in the big victory.

Cromwell dominated from the get-go, scoring 20 points in the first quarter thanks to scores from Kannon Korpela and Alek Strikowski, who both caught scores from Smith, and Dillon Hoff, who ran in a 3-yard touchdown all in the first.

The second quarter was more of the same, as the Cardinals added 21 more points to their lead.

Smith would throw his third touchdown pass of the night, while Cameron Cahoon and Nic Johnson added two touchdowns on the ground for the big 41-0 halftime lead.

Smith tallied his fourth passing touchdown in the third quarter on a 26-yard dart to Cahoon.

A.J. House added to the Cardinal lead for the final time, taking it to the house on a 24-yard score.

There would be no score from either team in the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs end their season 0-9, while Cromwell advances in the playoffs with a unblemished record of 9-0 to face-off with Bloodwood on Saturday in the semifinals.
