The Carlton Bulldogs hosted the Floodwood Polar Bears Friday night, parents/senior night for the Bulldogs, as they searched for their first win of the season.

Jackson Mickle got the Bulldogs on the board first, scoring on a long touchdown run that ended in Mickle making a big diving leap into the corner of the end zone, giving the Dogs a 7-0 lead.

Just before halftime though, the Polar Bears took the one point lead as they scored, successfully converting the 2-point conversion as well.

Floodwood controlled the second half from the get-go, as Ricky Baker combined to throw for three touchdowns, and rush for another.  He ended with 89 passing yards and 42 rushing yards en route to a big 30-7 victory.

The Polar Bears also got help from running backs Dylan Graff and Gavin Clark, as the duo almost combined for 300 yards on the night.

The Bulldog defense forced multiple turnovers during the game, but failed to capitalize on the other side of the ball, as multiple Bulldog receivers saw the ball slip right through their hands.

Carlton (0-7) will host Silver Bay on Wednesday as they will try and get their first win of the year before playoffs begin, while Floodwood (5-2) will host Littlefork Big-Falls Wednesday as well.
