The Hawks Are Returning To State

The Hermantown Hawks are returning to the State Tournament for the 4th consecutive season. The Denfeld Hunters did not make it easy on the Hawks, beating them in the first game by a score of 10-1, but the Hawks battled back in the final game of the playoffs, edging the Hunters 4-3 in comeback fashion.

In the final game, Breanna Thomas got the victory for the Hawks, allowing just 3 runs on 8 hits while striking out 6 batters and walking none.

The Hawks, who are now 20-5 on the year, will battle with the Simley Spartans (13-11) on June 9th at Caswell Park in Mankato. The game will begin at 11:00am.

The Hunters end the year with an impressive 19-7 record.
