Proctor Shuts Out Duluth Marshall

The Proctor Rails hosted the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers, shutting them out 5-0 on Tuesday night.

John Aase notched the victory for the Rails, going a complete game, striking out 8 batters while allowing just 2 hits. Jake Malec propelled the offense with a 2-3 performance which included a double. Bryce Huffman went 2-2 with a double and Matt Tracey had a double and an RBI.

Peter Lenz took the loss for the Hilltoppers, going 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 8 hits while striking out 4. Lenz also had one of two hits for the Hilltoppers, notching a double in the loss.

The Rails move to 10-4 on the year and will be back in action on May 19th when they travel to play the Hermantown Hawks. The Hilltoppers drop to 11-5 on the season and will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, May 21st when they play a double header against Champlin Park.
