Cloquet Squeaks Past Duluth Marshall

The Cloquet Lumberjacks played host to the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers, edging them 5-4 on Tuesday evening.

Getting the win for the Lumberjacks was Chanler Dilday who went 6 innings allowing just 1 run on 7 hits while striking out 4. On the offensive side of the ball, Joe Backus went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s and Gabe Sorenson went 2-3.

For the Hilltoppers, Peter Hansen went 2-4 with an RBI, Cole Maccoux went 2-4 with 3 RBI, and Ben Pedersen went 2-4.

The Lumberjacks improve to 3-4 on the season and will be back in action on May 5th when they travel to play the Hermantown Hawks. The Hilltoppers drop to 6-4 on the year and will look to bounce back on May 5th when they travel to play the Superior Spartans.
